God's Guidance in Genealogy

As time went on, as I was doing these searches and what I called coincidences at that time were happening, I really began to think that this is really part of something much bigger than myself. I feel that God put me in this place for a reason. I have been led to do what I do. There are no coincidences any more. On a daily basis, I am amazed at the little things that happen that helped me to understand that. There’s not a day that doesn’t go by that I don’t see one little thing on one case I’m working or one person that I meet that tells me that God wants me to be doing this, and He wants me to help people.

I’ve really been trying lately to figure out exactly what it is that I’m being focused towards. And the fact that I am Cajun and involved with these Cajun people keep coming back day after day after day. No matter how I try to get away, it’s amazing how it always leads to that. I’ve offered to help. One day, I was totally frustrated. I didn’t want to have a thing to do with anyone Cajun anymore. I get online and I offer to help a girl who’s in Florida with a surname that has nothing to do with Cajun. Her father ends up being a Broussard from Jennings, Louisiana. I cannot get away from it. And I am honored that maybe that’s what I’ve been put here to do, to help the people that made me who I am.

The DNA that is in the systems that police used is a system called CODIS, the Combined DNA Index System. Now, there’s actually three levels for that. There is a local state and national level. So, if someone is arrested and depending on what state they’re in, their DNA is tested.

A very interesting case that I’m working is an unidentified body that is known as Princess Blue. She was found in 1990 on the side of a road. A gentleman stopped to relieve himself, and found the bones of this young woman on the side of the road near Manvel, Texas.
